First off, I recommend that everybody has an airsoft pistol and an airsoft rifle of some kind. But you have to think of they way you play airsoft. Do you move around a lot and use lots of ammo? Do you play close quarters a lot? Do you like to snipe people?

If you are always on the move then I would suggest an automatic electric airsoft rifle. These guns have high capacity magazine and fire quickly.  Electric airsoft rifles are usually higher powered guns ranging from 250 fps to 400fps. You can even use smaller airsoft rifles in close quater combat. Just be sure to use one with lower feet per second power rating.

If you do play close quarters combat often the I would suggest 2 or 3 airsoft pistols. Of course green gas and CO2 powered airsoft pistols have more power and accuracy than spring airsoft pistols. But it is always a good idea to keep a spring airsoft pistol on you too for a back up in case you run out of CO2 or green gas. Also these guns can be more reliable because they are much simpler. You will also need the correct tactical gear including leg and waist holsters to hold your pistols. Pick up a few magazine pouches too to hold extra clips and magazines.

If you are one to hide out and wait for the enemy, then you’re probably a good match for a sniper. Snipers hide in well camouflaged areas patiently waiting for the enemy to walk through his sights. You most definitely need to get an airsoft sniper rifle. Most airsoft sniper rifles are spring powered, bolt action airsoft guns. This is sufficient because you won’t be firing that many shots. They are usually high powered rifles because they need to reach the enemy at long distances up to 180 feet. But don’t forget about the automatic electric airsoft sniper rifles. These things are a force to be reckoned with. Install a good scope or dot sight on your airsoft rifle to dial in your accuracy. Airsoft sniper are extremely accurate shooters.
